Simon Griffiths is the head of Distribution, which includes Retail Channel (branch network), Network Transformation, Licensed Banker program, Branch Operations and Administration, Sales and Service Administration and Sales Performance Management. Simon also serves as a member of the Citizens Executive Leadership Group. Most recently, Simon served as managing director of the branch network at Santander Bank. In the 15 years before joining Santander, Simon held a variety of consumer banking leadership roles. While at JP Morgan Chase, he was National Head of Branch Administration and managed a broad portfolio of functions across the Consumer and Wealth organizations. Areas of responsibility included Branch Policy and Procedure, Branch Contact Center, Program Management, Consumer and Wealth Management Training, Branch Resiliency, Branch Field Operations, Change Management and Branch Communications. While at Washington Mutual he was senior group product manager for home equity, leading pricing strategy and product strategy. He also led and managed strategy and six sigma operational excellence programs. A native of London, Griffiths completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK and went on to study Law at the York College of Law, York, UK. He is also a graduate of CBA Retail Banking and has completed Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification.
