Future Branches Boston 2024

June 24 - 25, 2024

The Westin Copley Place, Boston, MA

Nikki Bloemer

VP of Human Resources & Marketing Dieterich Bank

Nikki has been in banking for 10 years. Prior to that her background consisted of Human Resources in a consulting capacity. Nikki’s passion is making employees LOVE to come to work as much as she does and it is proven in Dieterich Bank’s success in being voted Best Places to Work in Illinois for 4 years in a row. An organization is only as good as it’s employees. Taking time with employees to help them reach their goals, understand their job, and find satisfaction in their job is important in retention. Banking as an industry has seen a transition, just as many other industries have. Dieterich Bank operates branches in small rural towns in Illinois which makes talent acquisition a challenge at times. The position of a “teller” is not a desired career in the minds of our younger generation. Dieterich Bank as an organization is working hard to change that mindset and re-introduce the position of a “teller” as a “Retail Banker” who has respect of customers and internal employees as more than an entry level position.
