Brian Read

Brian Read serves as the Chief Retail Officer at STCU, where he has responsibility for a wide array of areas including branch banking, business banking, investment services, and member operations and support. Prior to joining the credit union Brian enjoyed a 30-year career in banking, most recently as EVP/Head of Retail Banking at Umpqua Bank. His experience also includes various leadership positions in credit administration, product management, business banking, private banking, and wealth management. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the University of Washington. He resides in Spokane, WA with his wife and two daughters. Brian is committed to community and civic development efforts. He has served as Chairman of the Spokane Workforce Council and is currently a member of Greater Spokane Inc.'s Leadership Advisory Council and Economic Development Committee.
