Vito Giannola

EVP & Chief Retail Banking Officer Provident Bank

Vito Giannola is Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer at Provident Bank. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Branch Network, Retail Operations, Sales Administration, Provident Investment Services, and Consumer and Residential Lending. In addition, Mr. Giannola will develop and oversee the execution of the Retail Banking Division’s overall sales and customer experience strategy. Using his entrepreneurial skills and business acumen, Mr. Giannola creates innovative solutions to drive revenue. Mr. Giannola has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services. Prior to joining Provident Bank, he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer with SB One Bank and was responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the retail branch network, business development, and the investment division. Before joining SB One Bank, Mr. Giannola was a Senior Vice President, Retail Market Manager with TD Bank. While at TD Bank, he held leadership positions in the retail, government, and small business banking areas. Prior to joining TD Bank, Mr. Giannola gained valuable broad-based industry experience during his tenure at Chase and First Union Bank. Mr. Giannola is an executive board member of a private, family-owned real estate company based in Astoria, Queens. Serving the New York and Florida market for more than 50 years, their primary business focus is the acquisition, management, and development of real estate properties. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in Psychology from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Bronx, NY. Mr. Giannola is a recipient of the Real Estate Marketplace Leader Award and two local Queens community awards - 40 Under 40 Award and the King of Queens Award. He is resident of Glen Head, NY where he lives with his wife and four children.
