Matt Phipps is the chief marketing officer of San Francisco-based Agent IQ, a provider of digital customer engagement solutions specializing in making financial services more personal again. Phipps’ responsibilities as CMO include leading the marketing team and its initiatives, as well as strengthening the company’s messaging, branding and content campaigns. With more than 20 years in the global marketing and branding industries, Phipps made his mark early in his career by co-founding Liquid Agency, a brand agency serving high-tech clients plus a variety of Silicon Valley startups and giants. This experience led Phipps to found a couple of his own startups that he ultimately sold. While living overseas in Australia, Phipps led digital marketing across Asia Pacific for a multi-billion dollar life sciences company. Most recently, Phipps served as director of marketing activation with Silicon Valley Bank. Known as a go-getter with natural born leadership skills, Phipps’ ability to take chances on people and trust their instincts has made him a popular collaborator. Phipps graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Business Management and Marketing from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
