Carmen F. Sylvester is President and Chief Executive Officer of Alltrust Credit Union, in Fairhaven, MA. Carmen’s professional career spans over 30 years in the financial services industry. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Carmen has created an environment of collaboration and ensures that all team members voices are heard so that the vision, mission, and values of Alltrust are fulfilled. Carmen serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of the Southcoast Health System, in New Bedford, MA. She also serves on the Board Governance, Southcoast Physician Group, and Strategic Planning committees. Carmen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bryant University, Smithfield, RI, and holds a Human Resources Certification, including the Professional Human Resources (PHR) designation. She also studied at the Financial Management School at the University of Colorado and at Rockhurst University National Seminars. Carmen was one of the recipients of the 2020 New England Women in Banking Award and received an Honorary Doctorate from Bryant University in June of 2023. Alltrust Credit Union was established in 1922 and has a proud history of service excellence and financially sound operations. Alltrust offers an extensive array of products and services and partners with local experts to provide financial planning and insurance. The main office is in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, with branch offices in Fall River, New Bedford, and Seekonk, Massachusetts.
